Wordpress developer Matt Mullenweg has announced plans to start a hosted Wordpress service via Wordpress.com. This will effectively position them against Typepad, although Brad Hill notes they'll also need to distinguish themselves from the growing number of web hosts offering Wordpress as a one-click install (Dreamhost, Bluehost, etc.).

I wouldn't mind some of my LiveJournal friends switching over to Wordpress. This could be their oppritunity.

Wordpress is the software used on ParallelJohnny.com and No-Good-Reason.net to publish, organize and manage blog entries.

On this day in 1977, David Berkowitz (AKA: Son of Sam) was found and arrested. The "Son of Sam" nickname came from his neighbor, Sam Carr, whom Berkowitz claimed was a 'high demon' who sent his dog to command him to kill. David Was charged for the serial killing of six teenage girls.
